Residents living in areas of Moldgreen and Rawthorpe are being asked for their views on parking problems outside their homes.

Cllr Roger Battye and Rochelle Parchment (Lib Dems, Dalton Ward) have launched two surveys in response to complaints from local people. The first survey addresses problems on Brook Street and Church Lane in Moldgreen were village shoppers are preventing residents from parking near their own homes. The second survey has been issued to residents living on roads in Rawthorpe village which are regularly affected by sporting events being held at the Galpharm Stadium.

Cllr Roger Battye says:

"We've launched the surveys in response to complaints from people living in the two areas. We want to get a overview of the situation as a whole and ask people what they think would help before getting the council involved if that is what is needed."

"Cllr Parchment says:

"Residents living in Rawthorpe Village are concerned that this winter's matches will be attended by even more people than usual, bringing more cars into the area."
