Holme Valley North Area Committee has committed an additional £7,807 to help tackle anti-social behaviour.

The spending was agreed by members at the area committee meeting on Tuesday 28th October.
• £1,100 will pay for head cameras for the local policing team.
• £4,407 will pay for youth outreach workers from Street Scene to conduct a further 26 sessions in the ward
• £2,000 will pay for additional policing at times of the year when reports of anti social behaviour are more frequent
• £300 for a drugs kit which will be used by police when visiting school's to educate young people about the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
Cllr David Woodhead (Lib Dem Member for the ward and Area Committee spokesperson for Community Safety said:
"I am very pleased that we have been able to approve this funding. Dealing with issues of anti social behaviour is a big priority for local people and this spending looks to strengthen our approach from a number of angles."
