Huddersfield area planning committee decided to turn down an application from Vodaphone to establish a mobile phone.
Today, Huddersfield area planning committee decided to turn down an application from Vodaphone to establish a mobile phone mast near Marsden Railway Station in Colne Valley Ward.
Cllr Nicola Turner who was at the meeting says:
"I'm delighted that the planning committee have decided to turn down this application.
"Over 100 residents objected and it's only right that the planning committee has taken their objections into account.
"The proposed site is just outside the conservation area and it is regularly used by local people. It is also a site that we would like to see improved to attract more tourism to the area."
