Councillor Roger Battye (Lib Dem, Dalton ward) has praised the local council communication and action day that took place on Friday 30th November by local Dalton residents. The event was aimed at bringing council services together to target areas of the ward being identified as most in need of attention.
Cllr Battye said: "I just want to say thanks to the residents for bringing forward new information on how people feel about living in Dalton and the ideas they had about improving the area."
Councillor Battye was present at the event and labelled it a "Successful venture" and was impressed by the good spirit of the people of Dalton. However, Cllr Battye was very disappointed that his two ward colleagues did not take the time to be at the event but assures the people of Dalton that their ideas for improvement have been heard and that it was an honour for him to attend.
Cllr Battye goes on the applaud the event: "It was impressive to see everybody working together to make the day run smoothly, such as Housing, Police, Environmental wardens, traffic, community safety and the Neighbourhood Renewal Team (who organised the event) all did a splendid job."
