Collapsed Wall
Cllr John Smithson (Lib Dem, Almondbury Ward) wants Kirklees Council to repair the collapsed wall on Lascelles Hall Road, Lepton now and determine who is responsible for the costs later.
A 100 year old wall on Lascelles Hall Road collapsed into Mr Liam Smith's garden on Monday 7th August (1).
Since then, Lascelles Hall Road, between its junction with Wakefield Road and Highfield Lane, has temporarily been subject to one way restrictions putting local residents to great inconvenience when trying to access or leave their properties.
Cllr Smithson says: "It's been nearly three months now and the council needs to stop messing around trying to determine who is responsible for the wall collapsing and actually get it mended so that the one way restrictions can be lifted (2)".
Cllr Smithson says: "Residents are being put to great inconvenience and are becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of visible action from the council."
